The BBC reported this week that unemployment in the UK rose by 118,000 in the three months running up until November, bringing the total unemployment figure to 2.69 million, according to official figures. The government surely have to do something about this, I'm one of the unemployed and desperately job-searching, but the government need to help to create jobs. The Olympics are coming to London this year and they've provided some jobs, even if they are short term, but I keep coming across vacancies that are unpaid. It's ridiculous, surely the Olympics should benefit those of us who live in London and the UK, it should be for more than just those who can run or are good with a bow and arrow, it should benefit all of us. It absolutely should not be another unpaid work experience opportunity, companies are already making the most of those! Photo: amandabhslater (Flickr)
One of the most important insurance policies we can find is life insurance cover, but they are also very confusing, and so i found an article explaining some of the complexities at Money Beagle. This highlights just how important a life insurance policy can be to the financial wellbeing of your loved ones, and how knowing this can provide you with peace of mind when planning for your families future. The article also goes some way to explaining the complexities of the various types of life insurance benefit, such as unemployment protection and term life insurance. However, it also highlights that you should be careful when buying insurance policies, to ensure that you pay the right amount, and get coverage which addresses your life insurance needs. One of the biggest dangers when buying life insurance policies making sure you don’t get ripped off. For that reason you should get as many life insurance quotes as possible, and compare the benefits with the life insurance rates. You should also make sure that you update you policy whenever you have a major life change- such as getting married, having kids, or buying a home.
It was not long after the Manson ‘Family’ committed all their atrocities that they were caught. Manson himself was found cowering in a cabinet beneath a bathroom sink in the Barker ranch. The truth all came out from Susan Atkins who had been apprehended for the Hinman murder and had told her bunk mates in prison, Ronnie Howard and Virginia Graham, about the other murders. The trial commenced on June 15th 1970, the main witness being Kasabian who was granted immunity in exchange for a testimony concerning the crimes. The Manson Family performed ridiculous acts whilst in court, Manson carving an X on his forehead after not being allowed to represent himself as an attorney. Manson stated that he was “considered inadequate and incompetent to speak or defend himself” and so had “X’d himself from the establishment’s world”. The other Manson members copied this. The prosecution blamed the murders on Manson’s wish to trigger “Helter Skelter”, attested to by Kasabian who told the court that Manson had wanted to plant Rosemary’s wallet in a black neighbourhood. What a mad man! I’m surprised he didn’t want to plant the victims damenuhrens too!
Physical theories of light originated with Rene Descartes (1596 – 1650) who posited that light is a mechanical property of the luminous body, in accordance with gu 10 bulbs, rejecting all previous theories on light. Descartes identified the wave behaviour of light and concluded that the differing speed of light in different media could be explained by refraction. Incorrect in assuming that light travelled with greater speed in a denser medium than a less dense one, Descartes was nevertheless the first to identify the fact that it was a property of the luminous body. His mechanical way of viewing light fits well into the rest of Descartes’ work. Descartes was the father of modern rationalism and seen by many as the individual in which the Scientific Revolution and the subsequent Enlightenment began. Best known for his philosophical statement, ‘I think, therefore I am’, Descartes was opposed to concepts that could not be empirically proved.
I can't concentrate, the internet is too distracting. I've been looking at news, music news, Facebook, Twitter and am now sat watching videos of the best big brother moments, they're hilarious! I loved Nikki from Big Bro 7, she was hilarious and her tantrums were amazing, a lot of people can't stand her but I found her really funny. Couldn't live with her, but she's a laugh nonetheless. I'm supposed to be looking for a new job, I've literally had the Adzuna window with a job search open for ages but I've been procrastinating, as ever. I think I just struggle to do boring things. I don't really need to look for a new job but I do want to, and I should, it's time I looked for new opportunities. But I guess if you're still comfortable the desperation isn't there, there's no fire under you to push you to get on with it! Photo: s.alt (Flickr)
